The Bank of Currituck is pleased to announce the kickoff of its new Senior Friendly initiative.
In partnership with the Currituck County Seniors Center, the Bank will be piloting several initiatives through its Moyock and Grandy locations. Desk lamps with magnification capability have been installed at check-writing stations to assist clients in completing transaction documents. Also, check images in bank statements will be enlarged upon request to better facilitate clients with vision impairments. Yellow striping will be added to parking lot curbing for better visibility; additionally, employees will have umbrellas to assist folks to their car during inclement weather.
According to Marcus Click, senior vice president and head of retail, "The Bank is both delighted and honored to partner with the Senior Center in these initiatives. We have a long history within the community, and this is just one way we can contribute a little something extra to those individuals who have been the heart of The Bank of Currituck for so long. We hope this is only the beginning - and that our clients will provide us feedback as to any other ways we can reach out to our senior community"
The Bank is a recipient of the 2007-08 Community Impact Award from the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation.
